Designer Guidelines

At Design Hunt, you have the chance to grow and thrive through exciting creative projects and meaningful client connections. Our Designer Code of Conduct outlines the site’s policies and guides your participation in the community.

Our Commitment to You:

- Connecting you with the right clients: The more active you are on Design Hunt, the better we can match you with clients who align with your skills, industries, and styles.

- Rewarding your work quality: Our curation team evaluates new designer applications and assigns levels based on skill and professionalism. Your portfolio is regularly reviewed, allowing for level advancement, which brings more opportunities, including larger contests, bigger prizes, and faster payments.

- Securing your payments: We ensure upfront payment from clients and release funds as work progresses, so you don’t need to worry about chasing invoices. All invoicing is done through Design Hunt to guarantee payment for completed work.

- Providing support: We handle the administrative details, like NDAs and ownership transfers, so you can focus on designing. If issues with clients arise, we offer mediation and are available to answer questions or resolve disputes.

Your Commitment to Us:

- Submit your best work: To maintain the integrity of our design community, you agree to only submit work that meets our quality and professionalism standards.

- Follow our Stock Policy: Stock images must be declared for proper licensing, and they are not allowed in logo, illustration, or icon/button contests. Failure to comply may lead to account suspension or termination.

- Be original: While some design overlap is natural, direct copying of others' work is prohibited and may lead to suspension or termination under our Concept Originality Policy.

- Act professionally: You agree to treat clients, designers, and staff with respect. Unprofessional behavior, such as offensive or aggressive communication, is a violation of this Code and may result in account suspension.

- Meet your commitments: If you can’t meet a deadline, communicate with your client and update your availability. The Design Hunt support team is always here to assist.

- Keep work and communication on Design Hunt: To ensure payment security and mediation support, all work, files, and payments should remain on the platform. Moving work off-site violates our Circumvention Policy and may lead to suspension.

- Respect client confidentiality: Clients can mark projects as "private," indicating they don't want them publicly displayed. Ensure you have permission before adding work to your portfolio, especially when under a non-disclosure agreement. Violation of this could lead to legal consequences.
